On a computer this is about as simple as it gets — copy the post's web address, paste it here, and the MP4 downloads to your usual Downloads folder. Works the same on Windows, Mac, and Linux, in any browser, with nothing to install.
Step by step on PC
- Copy the link. On x.com, click the share icon beneath the video and choose Copy link — or just copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
- Paste it above into the box.
- Click Download, then Save video (MP4).
- Find it in your Downloads folder (or wherever your browser saves files).
Choosing where files save
By default the video goes to your Downloads folder. If you'd rather pick a location each time, enable "Ask where to save each file" in your browser's download settings — handy if you're archiving lots of clips into folders.
Tips
- Works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Brave.
- No extensions or desktop apps needed — ignore anything that asks you to install one.
- Grabbing several videos? Just paste each link in turn; there's no limit and no signup.
